Charms and Clovers is destined to bring you the Irish luck!
Charms and Clovers is the newest game title from Betsoft Gaming. Betsoft are known for their extensive selection of games and the Irish luck inspired pokie Charms and Clovers will be a great addition to that offer.
The pokie design incorporates the most important symbols that are associated with Irish good fortune symbols like rainbow, leprechaun, clover, green color etc.
We have seen many games like this before so in order to stand out, Betsoft decided to add various bonus features to make this game more interesting. The pokie has 6 reels and 40 pay lines and while the 5 reels are regular, the sixth one stands besides the 5th reel and is supposed to be the reel that triggers the bonus features.
In order to get any of the 4 bonuses, players need to have the corresponding symbol covering up the 6th reel and truth be told, it may be very hard. The features you can trigger include free spins with random wilds, multiplier prize, pick bonus etc. Players can bet from $0.80 to $200 on a single spin and the game also has several jackpots which players can win.
What We Love
As fans for bonuses, we admire the fact that Charms and Clovers have gone beyond our expectations and besides their 3 progressive jackpots, they also offer 4 interesting bonus features.
All of them stand out and it’s impossible to get bored because you’re always looking forward to get one of the bonuses. Besides that, we think that it is really clever to have a sixth reel because with it there are possibilities to make 6oak winning combinations and they payout nicely.
What We Do Not Like
After some consideration, we came up with two things that we didn’t like about Charms and Clovers. First of all, even though it may seem easier to trigger bonuses when you need the sixth reel covered entirely with one of the bonus symbols, it isn’t. It can be quite hard as mostly the symbol covers up most parts of the reel but not the entire reel. But the second thing we really don’t like is the fact how expensive the pokie is.
With the standard $0.02 coin size and 40 pay lines, in order to bet on all pay lines it costs you $0.80 and it is way too much to be a minimum bet size.
Also although it might seem to be easier to get decent winning combinations in base game due to the games’ sixth reel, in most occasions you will lose a lot of money and will experience small 10x-20x bet winnings during the base game.
As with most games, it is better to try it out for yourself to make conclusions, but this game is worth trying to explore because of its interesting features. Is it worth playing in the long run? Not so sure about that. But all in all, the game has an interesting design and the variety of bonuses is exciting.
The bonuses themselves do have a good winning potential, they just seem to be hard to trigger. If you do decide to play this game, have a good bankroll prepared as the game can be quite expensive. If you have a passion for bonus features and you like Betsoft games or 3D pokies in general, this might be the game for you.
