Theme of The Game
Jugglenaut is a circus based game, but it doesn’t give you a happy memory of that place. Instead, the developer chose to create the kind of circus that would belong in a horror movie.
From the very creepy clowns, to the hatchets, torture devices and the weights which are tied with barbed wire, that place looks like a nightmare if you consider what some of those symbols are showing you.
There are elements that you wouldn’t consider creepy, like the background or the Western style poker icons, but there are also those elements which make it look slightly horrifying. The two main characters are the killer clown and a strong man that looks deranged as well.
Habanero isn’t one of the larger companies to create pokie machines for the online market, but from what I’ve seen so far they can do a very good job with the titles they create. You will get games that have themes that are not unique, but which still have their own way of doing things.
I enjoyed All For One, a pokie based on The Three Musketeers book, as well as Bombs Away (World War II theme) or Cashosaurus (dinosaurs and cash go really well together, apparently).
How To Play It
It’s a game that could be played by a high roller, with bets of $5,000 being possible if you maximize every option you’re given.
The number of lines varies from 1 to 50, on a setup with 3 symbols per reel, so wins should come often. There are 1 to 10 coins used per line, modified with the help of the Bet Level option. There is also a coin value option to change, where the maximum goes to $10, while the minimum is at $0.01. The highest line bet can be valued at $100.
The circus theme is quite clear, and the design was excellently handled. You’re not going to see a cheerful circus here though, more like a murderous one, with a couple of very shady characters present among the major symbols. I loved it.
One of the two symbols which have characters in them is the one with the Strong Man, a guy dressed in leather and wearing some sort of mask on his face. He doesn’t look like a good guy, yet he can deliver one of the biggest payouts possible in this game, of up to 4,000x.
When you don’t use it to get paid very well, you will have it as a substitute if you can combine it with other matching regular symbols on a line. Wilds don’t replace scatters here, same as in every other game.
The Killer Clown is the scatter symbol, and by far it’s the most terrifying image in the game. Appearing in any position, you get paid directly by it if you have a minimum of three present. The payouts of the scatters reach 100x the bet you used that spin.
You’re also getting the free spins triggered at the same time, and there will be 3 to 25 spins to go through, with multipliers between 2x and 5x.
The base game payout will be at 4,000x, which could mean $400,000 in this game. For the free spins, it can be at 5x that amount thanks to certain multipliers, so there are chances to land payouts of $2,000,000. Keep in mind though, you need a wager of $5,000 per spin to get that much.
It’s a fun game, as long as you don’t have a problem with horror themed pokies which have killer clowns in the main role.
